Applications are open — Startuplab Accelerator #13
We recently opened for applications to the 13th edition of the Startuplab Accelerator. In collaboration with DNB NXT, we’re looking to partner with ambitious Norway-based tech entrepreneurs with grit and a sense of urgency. Selected companies receive an investment of 1–3 MNOK and access to our community of alumni, mentors, investors, industry experts, and corporate partners.
The last few years have been a rollercoaster for the startup community. With the continued effects of the pandemic, the ongoing war in Ukraine, domestic inflation, and the recent stock market dive, both later-stage startups and emerging ones are facing significant challenges. While many in the startup community are ringing their warning bells (like Silicon Valley-based Y-Combinator), we firmly believe that many of the greatest tech companies will be founded in the next few years — not in spite of the current situation, but because of it.
The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is now.
Looking back, many of the most prominent tech companies were born during difficult times — Slack, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Uber all emerged following the last recession in 2008. Challenging times bring forward new problems to solve, and combined with lots of readily available talent, it can be the perfect ground for new ideas to grow. And our accelerator program is designed to bring much-needed support for the earliest stages of this process.
We’ve been supporting tech entrepreneurs since 2012, and have worked with companies like No Isolation, Huddly, Remarkable, Otovo, Ardoq, Kahoot, Zwipe, and Tise. Our 12-week program is tailor-made for each company, and founders are free to work at whatever they consider most important for their company at any given time. Our job is to enable this work through guidance, investments, resources, and connections, and the Startuplab community are readily available for advice along the way.
