StartupLab Accelerator: we’re now open for applications to the spring 2020 program

This spring, we're kicking off the eight edition of our accelerator program. This post is to tell you a little bit more about why we're doing it, who we are looking to reach with it, as well as why ambitious entrepreneurs should consider applying.
First, a little bit of background. Our core mission at StartupLab is to have more great tech companies come out of Norway, and our accelerator program serves this very purpose. “How can we best fund and support ambitious entrepreneurs in the earliest stages of building a company” is the question that is guiding our work building this accelerator program, and after many iterations over the years we believe this program is a very good answer to this question.

Our selection process only takes a few weeks after application deadline January 26th (apply here), and in the end, we’re looking for around 10 companies that we can fund and further support as their startups are being built.
Our accelerator marks the beginning of our partnership with the founders that are selected. Through the 12-week program, we put all our efforts towards supporting the selected founders as they work to get their companies off the ground.
While we call it a program, the naked truth is our accelerator is close to the opposite. The 12 weeks are tailor made per company, and the number of “one-size-fits-none” sessions are kept at a minimum. Founders are free to work at whatever they see most important for their company at any given time, our job at StartupLab is to enable this work through advice, resources and introductions. The StartupLab community of serial entrepreneurs, corporate partners, seasoned investors and alumni founders are of course available alongside our team, offering the best possible advise along the way. We have been supporting tech entrepreneurs since 2012, and many have successfully scaled their companies since then. No Isolation, Huddly, Remarkable, Otovo, Ardoq, Kahoot, Zwipe, Tise, Attensi, Confrere, OncoImmunity, Exabel — and many others are well underway. As these companies grow out of our lab we are looking to bring in new founders.
